Treatment for cancer is very difficult at Government Facilities where huge number of patients are in waiting for good low-cost facilities. Patients are therefore forced to seek large sums as loans to get the treatment carried out at private hospitals where the cost of treatment is much higher. This results in them ending up with a huge unmanageable debt and pushes their families in dire financial circumstances. Mostly due to lack of funds or difficulty in raising sufficient funds, the treatment is delayed or not just taken. Accordingly, Arcil has partnered with Madat Charitable Trust, Mumbai for providing support to poor & needy patients undergoing Cancer treatment for support towards costs of their cancer treatment & therapy at Hospital / centres in Mumbai/Navi Mumbai. In this initiative, MCT would identify the patients based upon their financial condition, urgency of treatment support needed and financial support required. Once found eligible, as MCT has tie up with multiple leading hospitals handling Cancer treatment, they would support the treatment of shortlisted patients at these private hospitals with Arcil’s financial donation and subsidized rates offered by the Hospitals.

Education & Skill Development
As in many government primary schools across India, the students don’t have writing tables and other infrastructure due to lack of space / funds etc, Arcil provided school children with Deskit – a school bag convertible into a study table, that makes any space a study space. Arcil with the support of Roshni Foundation in Faridabad and Santhwana Trust in Bangalore, Chennai, Bhubaneswar & Kolkata, distributed a total of 6335 Deskits to school children during Q3. The NGOs identified a total of 56 schools across 5 states, where children of primary schools were provided these Deskits during various distribution camps which involved team members from the nearby Arcil Branches & its CSR team. This initiative not only benefited the children to improve their learning environment by better posture, eyesight & handwriting, but also provided support to empowering women in and around Kanpur where the said Deskits are manufactured through Deshpande Foundation.

As part of its CSR commitment, Arcil has generously supported the installation of critical medical equipment, including the Zeiss make Operating Microscope, Model Lumera 300, and the Topcon make SLIT LAMP machine - model SL 2G with motorized table and the applanation tonometer. The successful completion of this project reflects Arcil's dedication to making a positive impact on the lives of individuals in need.
The donations are projected to benefit approximately 50,000 individuals annually, particularly those from economically vulnerable backgrounds. The impact of this support goes beyond restoring sight; it empowers individuals to regain dignity, hope, and earning capacity. Also, it liberates caregivers, often children, especially girls, who would otherwise be withdrawn from school to care for blind elders at home.
