We also did a random on-ground check of dustbin installations across the Mumbai Suburban Stations and it was gratifying to see the dustbins being utilised as intended by the general public for maintaining cleanliness at the stations. The Station Masters were appreciative of our initiative and the high quality standard of the dustbins and reported considerable improvement in cleanliness at the stations after the installation of dustbins during our interactions. Arcil was also presented with a letter of appreciation by Central Railway officially recognising our initiative towards maintaining “Clean & Green Railway Stations” across Mumbai. To date, we have installed a total of 1231 sets of dustbins across all major railway stations in Mumbai on the Western, Central and Harbor line suburban and main line stations.

In lieu of the land provided by Western Railway to Arcil at Bandra Terminus for commissioning of our Waste Management Unit and under its initiative of “clean & green railway stations in Mumbai”, Arcil undertook the beautification of the long divider stretch outside Bandra Terminus Station by planting Caesalpinia trees and also developed a small garden patch at the entrance of the Station. The beautification project was done with Arcil branding to give us the desired visibility.

Our local team at Lucknow was tasked with the renovation of its public washrooms along with maintenance for one year. This CSR project is aligned to GoI’s Swachh Bharat Initiative. It was an honour to have Shri Abhishek Prakash, Hon'ble District Magistrate, Lucknow, inaugurate the project upon its completion in the presence of Shri Vishwa Bhushan Mishra (A.D.M), Shri S.P. Education & Skill Development
Donation of 100 benches with Arcil branding to Ram Krishnaa Academy School, Panvel, to enable them to comply to social distancing norms in the classrooms. Ram Krishnaa Academy is the only English medium school for rural children of seven villages around Panvel run by a Charitable Trust and its Mission is to provide the same amenities to rural children as their urban peers. Thus came about a physical visit to Ram Krishnaa Academy School by a small Arcil team from across various groups. During our visit, we had informal interactions with the students, teachers, parents and management of the School and witnessed first-hand the impact of the education provided by the School and appreciation for the timely provision of benches by Arcil.
