Mr. Ashok Kumar Sharma, currently positioned as Deputy Managing Director & Chief Credit Officer and Chief Sustainability Officer at SBI’s Corporate Office, Mumbai responsible for overseeing the credit portfolio of Bank and setting up of policy directions brings a wealth of experience across various Banking verticals in the Bank, more specifically in credit. He is a Director on the Board of National E-Governance Services Ltd. (NeSL), NESL Asset Data Ltd. (NADL) as SBI Nominee and also a member of UKIIFB (UK India Infrastructure Financing Bridge) Task Force, a collaborative initiative jointly led by Niti Aayog and the City of London.

He has worked in various senior assignments at various locations in India as well as overseas at Singapore. His journey of 33 years at SBI has helped him in developing insights into various facets of banking/economy. He is actively involved in policy level discussions at various policy level bodies in the country. His academic foundation comprises M.Sc. in Physics and he is also a Member of Indian Institute of Bankers.
